Preheat oven to 350°. In a 9 X 13" pan:

Layer 1: melt butter. Spread shredded chicken over butter. (Top with vegetables at this point if using.) Sprinkle with black pepper and dried sage over this layer. DO NOT STIR

Layer 2: In a small bowl, mix milk and Bisquick. Slowly pour all over chicken. DO NOT STIR

Bake casserole 30-40 minutes or until top is golden brown.

The key to this recipe is not to stir the layers.
