Combine both bowls, pouring smaller into larger bowl and mix well. Peel, core and chop apples and fold into batter. Pour enough oil into a skillet to measure about ¼". Heat oil and drop spoonfulls of batter into hot oil. Cook until brown on one side, flip and continue cooking until both sides are good and brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Makes about 1 ½ dozen fritters depending on size of fritters. Top with honey, powdered sugar, caramel sauce, syrup or your choice of toppings.
