Melt butter in a large pan on low heat. Add marshmallows. Cook and stir 3-4 minutes or until melted. Stir in food coloring. Add cereal, stir until it is evenly coated. Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. Press red hots into cereal mixture, flattening slightly. Let stand for about 30 minutes or until firm.

Mix syrup, sugar and peanut butter. Heat in a saucepan. Boil for 3 min. Add cornflakes, stirring until all cornflakes are coated. Drop by spoonfuls onto was paper. Let cool. Store in an airtight container.
