Add cabbage, tomatoes and scallions. Toss to coat and cover and refrigerate for 1-4 hours.

Place lettuce in the bottom of a large bowl for your first layer.

Cover the peas with a layer of chopped onion. (Soak chopped onion in cold water for about 10 min. to remove some of the strong taste if desired.)

Spread a layer of chopped green pepper.
